About Ian Fishwick
In May 2023 I became Chairman of Airband, one of the UK's leading provides of fibre to rural areas. I founded AdEPT in 2003 and after 16 years as CEO finally moved to Chairman on 1/1/19 and sold the business in April 2023. I started the business in a spare bedroom and in October 2018 saw the business hit a market cap of £100m. I was a Managing Director/CEO for 29 years and had the honour of reporting increased EBITDA for 29 consecutive years. Many thanks to the people who worked so hard with me to make that possible. I have completed over 40 technology mergers and acqusitions in my career. In January 2015 I was elected to the position of Commercial Director of Innopsis, the industry association for Public Service Network suppliers. My role is to champion the cause of our industry and SME's in particular, by seeking ways to make it easier for smaller companies in our industry to do business with the public sector. In November 2016 I was appointed to the Cabinet Office SME Panel. I published my first book - The Street-Smart MBA - Mastering Business Acumen Without Going To School in April 2020.
