Background

About Igor Spirin

I’m an OT cybersecurity consultant, Python automation strategist, and proud keyboard craftsman. I believe that security that doesn’t work for people doesn’t work at all.My work lives at the intersection of operational technology, information security, and data engineering. I bring a systems-level mindset to solving messy, human-shaped problems. That might mean automating threat detection pipelines, aligning with ISO27001 or 62443, or helping OT and IoT environments become both secure and functional. In past roles, I’ve delivered- MLOps and automation scripts to cut repetitive toil - GRC programs aligned with CSF 2.0, NIS2, and quantum-readiness - Tailored RFP processes based on real organizational needs - Dashboards and BI systems that make risk visible and actionableI’ve worked inside SOCs, supported forensic investigations, and designed secure-by-default architectures. I’ve translated frameworks like MITRE ATT & CK into operational processes. I speak fluent Dev, Infra, and Data Science, and often act as the connective tissue between those teams. As a neurodivergent professional, I find clarity in complexity. I lean into ambiguity with curiosity and discipline. Using code, models, and process improvements, I help teams work smarter and safer. I’m also passionate about building a real security culture, one that grows through collaboration, not just compliance.Whether it's modeling threats, scripting a new data pipeline, or talking keyboards, I aim to leave systems and teams stronger than I found them.Let’s build something emergent.Profile image:"Hyperfeeling", SILA SVETA, HYPERSTUDIO, KISSMIKLOS, as seen in Balloon Museum LondonProfile banner: Mushrooms (acoustic diffusers), the Yorkshire Fibreglass Company, as seen in Royal Albert Hall
