About Iiris Orasmaa

358 50 4065704 | iiris@blockbustersgang.com | I first started filmmaking when I was in primary school and completed my first independent film after my 12th birthday. My goal has always been very simple: I want to do what I do as good as possible and handle people respectful no matter who they are. I consider AD’s job as being the glue holding together creative vision, production and it’s crew and cast. I’m in my element when resolving emergency situations and coordinating complex scenes and schedules. Due to my interest in global films I’ve been focusing on international and challenging co-productions and want to improve my skill set towards even bigger projects. Lately I’ve ran sets in Finland, Norway, Estonia, Sweden, US and Djibouti and worked with crew and production companies from UK, China, Japan, Czech, Germany, France, Iceland, Ireland, India, Denmark, Belgium and Australia. My working philosophy has been described as “one-of-a-kind military style management with Three Musketeers -kind of attitude”. Feels rather true - I live to be the one that saves the day, every day. Besides working as a 1st AD I'm a Co-Founder of Blockbusters Gang, Finland’s first crewing and recruiting service provider in the media industry.
