You don't need to be a predictor to understand irreversibility of total digitalization of buisness processes. A business that will not keep up with these processes runs the risk of being left behind in the distribution of the market and resources. Most postpone digitalization until someone comes up with a order from above. By the way, I see this as one of the reasons for the sluggishness of the state machine. We are at a stage where the volumes of information have outgrown their means of communication. We can no longer afford paperwork chains. Nevertheless, in my experience, many still calculate the benefit / ROI from going digital only by the cost of paper, printing, shipping. EDI has much greater value characteristics: speed, security, control, the ability to analyze, monitor, availability here and now, etc. All this can be confirmed by such market leaders as Mars, Loreal, Philips, Whirlpool, Henkel, Kimberly Klark, JTI, Imperial Tabacco, Bosch in whose EDI integration processes I took part. Electronic document management today has become a separate ecosystem, which in turn develops related services and technologies such as Mobile ID, cloud signing, etc. Nevertheless, the tendencies in it are set by the Firsts.
