About Iman Amirullah

Iman "Kim" Amirullah (He/They) or usually called Kimmy/Kim is a translator, writer, graphic designer, poet, and queer activist based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Describing themselves as pansexual and non-binary, he actively working promoting human rights, democracy, and queer liberation in Indonesia. Voluntary working as Campaign Coordinator for Students For Liberty Asia-Pacific (2023-2024) and National Coordinator for Students For Liberty Indonesia (2024-2025), Media and Creative Industry Workers Union for Democracy (SINDIKASI) Yogyakarta as Gender and Inclusivity Coordinator (2024-now), Queer Collective Aliansi Bangga Nyawiji (2023-now). He graduated with International Relations Degree with focus study in Contemporary International Studies. His thesis titled "The Influence of Ni Una Menos as Transnational Advocacy Network in the Argentina Abortion Legalization." Actively publishing academic and popular essays particularly about politics, feminism, queer liberation, and democracy. He work as translator to Bahasa Indonesia for Center for a Stateless Society (C4SS) since 2021 - now under some pseudonym. He translating some book to Bahasa Indonesia such as, Social Anarchism and Organisation (Daun Malam Anarchist Publisher, 2023) by Federação Anarquista do Rio de Janeiro – FARJ, Libertarian Left: Free-Market Anti-Capitalism, The Unknown Ideal by Sheldon Richman (C4SS, 2021), and Markets Not Capitalism — Introduction by Garry Chartier (C4SS, 2022), He also an active writer and editor for Suara Kebebasan since 2024. His another writings get published in some national and local media such as Kumparan, Yayasan LKIS, Alineaku, Marsinah.ID and WGWC Indonesia. He speak English and Bahasa Indonesia, accepting any translation from English to Bahasa Indonesia, social media graphics, article writing, and project/campaign management offers. His some big projects are Liberty Now! 2023 National Conference as head of creative team, Liberty Now! 2024 as project officer, IE-CEPA National Webinar 2024 as moderator and project officer.
