About Imran Nizami

Imran is supporting many of Bangladesh’s WASH and Agriculture programs and now uses his WRP ang JHU Empowered Entrepreneurs training skills to develop marketing and sales strategies for BoP customers, Sanitation Enterprises and Private Sectors. He also develops marketing and sales materials and conducts training, workshops, and public events. Imran is skilled in applying qualitative research techniques like HCD and PRA. He has over 10 years of experience implementing and leading livelihood security, agriculture and sanitation marketing programs that engage private sector actors and government stakeholders. Imran is trained by WRP (Whitten and Roy Partnerships) on DQ sales method, Sales Management and Leadership and by JHU on Enterprise Development focusing women. He is a Master Trainer of HCD, BoP direct sales, sales management and social marketing. He led the Capacity Development domain of SanMarkS scale program (Sanitation Market Systems in Bangladesh) funded by SDC and Unicef, working in 35 districts across Bangladesh targeting 1.2 million improved toilet sales by developing capacity of Sanitation Enterprises. Currently he is working as the Field Team Leader at Chattogram Hill Tracts, SanMarkS II project. Imran has a Masters in Social Science from the University of Chittagong’s Department of Sociology and believes problems are opportunities to work smarter, not harder.
