About Indrani Kar

Actively involved in channelizing young and inquisitive minds in the vast arena of Literature and English Language.Having more than 10 years experience in teaching, my role includes mentoring and brushing up language skills of young students that includes reinforcing their understanding,comprehension and encouraging critical thinking. I am a teacher who has handled Grade 5 to 10. Over the period of my career, I have developed various skill sets like interactive teaching methods, classroom management, and practical oriented approach.I also introduced innovative teaching methods especially in English Grammar and Creative Writing which boosted the clarity of understanding.I was also part of the evaluator's team for school leaving exams held throughout India conducted by the Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations(ICSE). In school, apart from regular teaching and grading, I involved myself in writing speeches and scripts for school programmes, instructing and preparing students for public speaking and dramatics, maintaining reports, sending articles to newspapers and organizing literary programmes. Apart from teaching, I take great interest in creative writing and blogging. I have many articles published in newspapers like The Statesman, Kolkata and a regular contributor of school events for Newspaper in Education, The Times of India.
