I’m Irma Meijerman — educational innovator, researcher (life sciences & education), SoTL advocate, and learning designer — with over 30 years’ experience in higher education, research, and professional development. After 24 years at Utrecht University, I now work independently, partnering with universities, companies, non-profits, and professional organisations to strengthen learning cultures and create meaningful, lasting change. Alongside my expertise, I bring curiosity, empathy, and the ability to connect people and ideas. I’m skilled at guiding learning and change processes with clarity and creativity — building trust, fostering ownership, and inspiring growth at both individual and organisational levels. I work in three main areas: • Curriculum, programme & learning experience innovation – Designing and redesigning learning experiences, from courses to organisational learning trajectories, that are relevant, engaging, and future-proof. This often includes facilitating change processes to align vision, content, and teaching practices. • Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) – Helping individuals, teams, and institutions embed evidence-informed practice through training, workshops, mentoring, and strategy development — nationally and internationally. I support both skill development and the organisational change needed for SoTL to thrive. • Professional & leadership development – Supporting teachers, researchers, and leaders to grow in their roles, strengthen skills, and work with renewed confidence, energy, and purpose. I help teams navigate transitions and new directions with clarity, trust, and shared ownership. My approach is collaborative, evidence-informed, and creative — always tailored to the context and aimed at lasting impact. Ook actief in Nederland: Ik werk aan onderwijsinnovatie en curriculumontwikkeling, begeleid docenten bij hun professionele en leiderschapsontwikkeling, en help organisaties met effectief onderwijsontwerp en advies. Daarnaast versterk ik de Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL)(praktijk gericht onderwijskundig onderzoek) binnen en buiten universiteiten, en stimuleer ik onderwijsvernieuwing en samenwerking.
