About Isabel Chalmers

Hi my names Izzy, and I graduated from Chester university last year with a degree in wildlife conservation and ecology. Throughout my degree, I was able to conduct many ecological surveys and learn valuable practical skills. I volunteered to conduct nocturnal GCN surveys on campus and small mammal trapping. I have experience with a wide range of survey techniques and species. My dissertation was aimed at evaluating the rehabilitation techniques of orangutans and I am passionate about wildlife rehabilitation. I volunteer as a member of the Holderness hedgehog hospital and offer my time in caring for injured hedgehogs. Since I graduated I have worked as a seasonal assistant bat surveyor for Abrtech and crow ecology. These surveys have given me an insight into the ecology industry. I am looking to gain more experience in the field and am looking for a full/ part time ecology job.
