About Jack Blendell

I have seven years of coaching experience working with a wide variety of participants, I am currently studying sports and exercise and working towards a bachelors degree in this topic. In the future I would like to have a role coordinating similar projects to which I deliver now. Working with participants who have disabilities is something I particularly enjoy and would like to continue to work in this sector in the future. For the previous three years I have worked for north Lincolnshire council having an involvement within three projects which are do something different, active ageing and streetsport. During my three years at the council I have gained vital experience in how to engage with all different types of people regardless of their age, background or gender I have done this via sport, delivering all different types of sports sessions from football sessions for children to walking football sessions for elderly participants as well as also delivering chair based exercise session for the do something different programme which focuses on delivering sessions for participants that have a disability. Prior to my current post at street sport I worked for the football in the community at Grimsby Town Football Club delivering sports sessions across many different venues within North East Lincolnshire delivering sessions in schools, for girls, for those with a disability and also for participants that have suffered from drug addictions and criminal backgrounds. This experience of successfully working with participants with challenging backgrounds has allowed me to become a more efficient and effective communicator when it comes to challenging situations during sessions.
