Background
About Jack Horner
Jack Horner – Founder & Creative Director | Artistic Director | Circus Choreographer | Movement Specialist Jack Horner is an internationally respected Artistic Director, Circus Choreographer, and Movement Specialist whose career spans over 20 years across theatre, circus, and live performance. He has worked extensively in the UK and internationally, with a particular focus on integrating physical storytelling, ensemble direction, and technical precision across large-scale productions. Jack is currently the European Associate Physical Movement Director for Disney Theatrical Group, working on Frozen (London & Hamburg) and Beauty and the Beast (UK & International Tour), where he oversees physical and choreographic maintenance, cast transitions, and performer safety across multiple international companies. He is also the Aerial Performance Consultant on Moulin Rouge! The Musical (London), where he works with principal and ensemble performers to implement and maintain the circus-based aerial choreography created by Gypsy Snider (7 Fingers). His previous role as Assistant Artistic Director on Cirque du Soleil’s TOTEM and LUZIA saw him stepping in for the Artistic Director, managing show quality, creative consistency, and performer wellbeing on a global scale. This included overseeing casting, choreography, and the integration of new artists—all within the technically complex environment of the Big Top. Jack brings over 15 years of professional stage and screen performance experience, including original cast and Circus Captain roles in Love Never Dies, Batman Live, Wendy & Peter Pan (RSC), Barnum (Chichester Festival Theatre), and Chess (ENO, London Coliseum). His work spans from the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and Royal Opera House to the O2 Arena and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Stadium. As a creative, he has contributed to productions such as Antony & Cleopatra (Shakespeare’s Globe), The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (Birmingham Rep), and Mamma Mia!(West End), and has frequently supported young performers in ensemble and movement-led productions. His attention to detail, experience with complex scheduling and cast rotation, and ability to guide performers through physically and emotionally demanding material make him an asset to any creative team. Jack is also the Founder & Artistic Director of AcrobaticArts UK, a circus entertainment and training company committed to developing innovative physical performance in theatre.
