About Jack P. Oakley

Jack earned the rank of Eagle Scout in March 2005. He then graduated High School in Prescott, Arizona in 2005 and moved to the Phoenix area to pursue a career in the Video Game Industry. He started his career with a degree in Game Design, then was hired as a Tester at D3Publisher of America, Inc. Jack was promoted to Senior Tester in May 2008. As a tester, Jack worked on fifteen projects across nine Platforms. As a Senior Tester, he has worked on ten projects across six Platforms, four of which he led the project. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Game Design in May 2008. In March 2010, Jack began working at Quest Online, LLC testing the MMO, Alganon. Jack worked hard to make sure the bugs were tracked down and fixed in the ongoing patches of Alganon. He was even able to completely clear up the backlog of player reported tickets. From his hard work, he was promoted from QA Analyst to QA Organizer and took on the Customer Service Game Master role in January 2011. The company shut down in March 2012. From June 2012 to May 2013, Jack worked as a Tier 1 Technical Support Agent for Endurance International Group. Jack went back to school to begin a degree in Computer Science. He received high marks in all computer related courses, including Honors OOP. While completing the necessary computer science courses needed to get into the Master's Program, Jack became the Computer Science Tutor at Mesa Community College. While in this position, he has earned CRLA Master Tutor certification. Jack was then accepted into the Master's Degree program for Computer Science at the University of Central Florida and is pursuing this degree now with a focus on game programming and VR technologies.
