About Jack Pedersen

Master's graduate at Edinburgh Napier University with a broad experience in theatre, tutoring, teaching, and event planning. Born in Dundee, Scotland, I have had several years of professional experience abroad teaching English at primary, secondary, and university levels. After attaining a first class Ma degree in Spanish/French, I am competent in written and spoken Spanish and French, working with a C2 and C1 level respectively, and I have completed studies and earned accreditation at a B1 level in Catalan. I graduated top of my class with an MSc in International Festival Management, focussing my academic research on cultural and artistic festival event planning and stakeholder sustainability. I have a keen interest in social sustainability and the host community-event relationship. My dissertation topic uncovered relationship between local amateur theatre and large-scale, open-access international festivals, with specific reference to the Edinburgh Fringe. I have over a decade's experience with amateur productions, most notably at the Edinburgh Fringe and I am eager to transition more firmly into management roles in the theatre industry.
