About Jack Thomas

I'm a specialist in social robotics with experience in teaching, research, software development, academia, and more. I've been teaching at the University level for both undergraduates and graduates since the summer of 2020. I've had seven years of research experience during grad school, publishing papers at leading robotics conferences about Human-Robot Interaction, Autonomous Robots, and my own theories concerning Social HRI. I have also completed ten terms of teaching assistantship and am comfortable as a lecturer, public speaker, and writer. My undergraduate education included a second bachelor's in Philosophy, and my interests include many of the higher theory questions provoked by cutting edge technology. I've also long had an interest in video game development, from a programming and design perspective. I've worked on the odd game jam and small personal project, mostly working with engines like Unity, though so far these have just been experiments.
