About Jackson Farmer

As a former professional soccer player and proud member of the Canadian National Team, my life has been shaped by the power of sport. Today, I continue that journey off the field—focused on athletics, recreation, and education as Program Lead for Bridge Through Sport, a partnership between the University of British Columbia and the Musqueam community. With a degree from UBC and a background in high-performance athletics, I currently dedicate my work to supporting Musqueam and Indigenous youth through community-driven programming. Bridge Through Sport promotes healthy lifestyles, recreation, and learning while fostering well-being. Our mission is to increase Indigenous student recruitment and retention, elevate visibility for Musqueam-UBC collaboration, and strengthen relationships between the university and Indigenous communities. In addition to my work in education and community programming, I continue to stay actively engaged in soccer through professional coaching roles with Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Vancouver United FC. These positions allow me to mentor young athletes, contribute to their technical and personal development, and remain connected to the game at a high level.
