About Jacob Brown

I am a capable and dedicated individual with experience in both observation of counseling and hospitality. I most recently graduated Cum Laude from Houston Baptist University with a BA in Psychology and a BA in Christianity. I gained experience through an internship at Julianna Poor's Memorial Counseling Center where I observed the work of LPCs and LPCAs and was given the opportunity to share my feedback as well. I also worked as a resident assistant where I was not only able to learn administrative duties, but also build community with my residents. I was also able to practice giving advice to my residents in the midst of their struggles. I am currently an operation support specialist at ABS Kids where I modify behavior technicians’ schedules and find coverage for patients. While working at ABS Kids I am also pursing my Masters of Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Sam Houston State University and work to become a LPC.
