About Jacob Comer

Work Experience: 1. Peer tutor at the Vance-Granville Community College Academic Success Center in Henderson, NC from August 2019 to March 2020. There I tutored in college level Math, Biology, English, and Psychology. I also ran a weekly open classroom day for students in need of tutoring for any subject (including at one time tutoring 20 students in biology for exam prep). I was laid off in March of 2020 when COVID-19 hit and shut my school down. The International Outreach Assistant for Ligonier Ministries in Sanford, FL from March 2021 to July 2022. There I gained experience in several online formats including Google, Microsoft, Shelf, Airtable, and Monday.com. I also helped keep track of publishing contracts and checking translated works including videos, books, and articles. I left to take on more roles as a Teacher’s Assistant. Teacher’s assistant at Reformation Bible College in Sanford, FL from August 2021 to December 2022. I gained experience grading papers, helping students with assignments, and teaching Turabian. I was the teacher’s assistant for three courses, Hermeneutics and Biblical Theology I, under Dr. Benjamin Shaw and Apologetics under Dr. Stephen. J. Nichols. I was also the transcript editor of the podcast 5 Minutes in Church History during this time. I left when I was offered the position of International Outreach Administrative Assistant at Ligonier Ministries 4. International Outreach Administrative Assistant at Ligonier Ministries in Sanford, FL since January 2023. I continued in my normal duties as International Outreach Assistant while also taking on more administrative roles such as account management, organization, and travel/event management. I left in August of 2023 due to moving. Chick-fil-A Team Member/Team Leader at Chick-fil-A, Mebane since September 2023. I began work here in order to gain experience in customer service and to work in a fast paced, stressful environment. I have been trained on positions in both the front of house and the back of house. In May of 2024 I was promoted to Team Leader.
