About Jacquelyn Kauffman
Originally from Cincinnati, OH, I became a John B. Ervin Scholar at Washington University in St. Louis. I received my B.A. in Anthropology: Global Health and the Environment with a minor in African and African American Studies. My passions lie in promoting health equity and combatting infectious disease. I applied these passions in my research endeavors in a parasitology lab where I contributed to the critical need for new therapeutics for neglected tropical disease. My work has since been published in the ACS Infectious Disease journal. I strive to find the intersections between quantitative research and human-centered applications. Having completed my undergraduate degree, I am continuing my education at Yale University School of Public Health to get my MPH in Epidemiology of Microbial Disease.
