About Jacqui Pyer

My employment has been within the Financial Services Industry, Local Government and Education. I have managed a team of up to 20 people and have experience of recruitment and selection, training and development, and appraisal. I have excellent communication and negotiation skills and am very comfortable in public speaking and training delivery. I have been a Management Information Systems Development Officer and Trainer within the Learning and Skills Directorate of the Vale of Glamorgan Council; supporting and training over 300 colleagues in both schools throughout the county, and within the directorate; and was asked to take a year out of that role to design build and implement a Data Protection framework for schools in the Vale of Glamorgan Council, during which I provided all advice and training to school based and Education staff across the council. I have been the Business Manager at a large Primary School, where I manage the budget, premises, lettings, Human Resources, building maintenance and projects, MIS Development and training and procurement. I am a member of the Senior Management Team with line management responsibilities. I completed a term as a Community Governor at a Secondary School, where I also sat as chair of the Personnel Sub-Committee, and as a member of the Finance Sub-committee.
