About Jade Lawless

I am a registered counselling psychologist and accredited psychotherapist. I am the Academic Director with PCI College and a member of the Executive Board within IACP. I am also the Director of Psychology with Harmony Residential Care Services. Harmony Residential Care Services provides high quality mainstream Children’s Residential Care. Residential Care is provided to children and young people in need of care and protection who cannot remain within their own family setting/home and for whom Foster Care is not suitable or has irretrievably broken down. We provide short, medium or long term placements. I am a counsellor/therapist within Counselling in Primary Care (CIPC), which is a branch within the National Counselling Service (NCS). In addition to this, I have experience working with children, who have a diagnosis of autism, from pre-school age up to 18 years. I worked in an educational environment teaching these children through the method of Applied Behaviour Analysis and Positive Behaviour Support. I have an interest in training education and design and deliver a number of CPD workshops. I have an interest in autism, in particular in relation to psychotherapeutic supports, knowledge and psychoeducation available for parents and carers of children who have a diagnosis of autism. I have a private practice and have experience working in a number of areas with differing client groups including children, adolescents, young adults, acquired brain injury, psychiatric services, one to one counselling, group facilitation and therapy and couples counselling. I works with those impacted by autism, anxiety, bereavement, relationship difficulties, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, parenting issues, stress, personal development and general personal issues.
