About Jadranka Kovacic

I am an Employment Lawyer and Employment Law Workplace Investigator.5 years PAE in-house and private practice experience at top-tier law firms and multinationals working on workplace investigations. 10 years experience in the banking and finance sector as a paralegal in corporate law and dispute resolution. Before law, I worked as a HR/IR consultant in the government sector. I also ventured overseas and worked for the European Union in a demilitarized zone of a war-torn country. In my current workchapter, I am specialising in workplace investigations. Why? Because I am drawn to unraveling the unknown and challenged by unearthing the truth. In every case there is a story and I am fascinated by the human condition. I believe that Employment Law is a form of human rights. Every person has a fundamental right to employment, to turn up to work, to be treated with dignity and respect, and return home safely. Workplace investigations take us to the coalface of these fundamental rights.When I am not working, I can be found spending time with my family and friends, exploring nature, and immersing myself in a good story (either on-screen or in a book). I am a fierce advocate for social justice, particularly of the vulnerable and on matters that get thrown into the “too hard basket.” My side hustle is writing. I’ve been writing my first book over the last few years on a subject matter very close to my heart – babies! I am a mother of 6.
