About Jake West

I am a lighting engineer for festivals, theatres, stages and events. This is my main career and passion in life. I have worked at various festivals across the UK including Beautiful Days Festival in Escot, I've worked for the Exeter Phoenix Venue as deputy technical manager, part time for a hire, installation and service company called 'Showbitz' and I have toured with the likes of Wet Wet Wet and Go West, and lit shows for Craig David, Craig Charles, Paloma Faith, Dub Pistols and lots of local and popular well known bands across the UK. In theatre world, I have also been a stage manage for the Barnfield Theatre, Exmouth Pavilions, The Electric Palace and The Exeter Phoenix and was the technical manager for 5 years at Clyst Vale Community College. I am a hardworking and dedicated person who is always keen to learn new things and experiences. I am confident with heights, new challenges and problem solving within technical aspects. I feel that I have excellent communication skills and am very good at building relationships with new people. Please see my experience below for the majority of my work
