About Jameka Moore

In my roles across Oakland University and Eastern Michigan University, I have prioritized ethical decision-making in every aspect—from improving operational efficiency and compliance to mentoring student workers and ensuring accurate academic records. These experiences have not only sharpened my skills but deepened my belief that leadership requires intentional reflection, responsiveness, and ethical consistency. Completing my Masters in Organizational Leadership, I continued to develop my capacity to lead with purpose and vision. I understand that effective leadership is dynamic and requires emotional intelligence, courage, and humility. I aim to be the kind of leader who creates space for others to succeed, who listens before responding, and who is willing to challenge unjust systems when necessary. I commit to leading with empathy and principle. Leadership, to me, is about legacy—not position. It is about using influence to build trust, shape culture, and leave every team, process, and person better than I found them. As I continue to grow in my career and academic journey, I will uphold these values, using them as my compass in every decision, challenge, and opportunity.
