About James Driessen

James Driessen is a mental performance coach and consultant with over a decade of psychology experience. He holds a Master’s in Forensic Psychology with numerous trainings and experiences in the field including but not limited to developmental psychology, criminal psychology, play therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. Driessen has had an impressive coaching career, having served as the former head coach for the Rochester High School Rugby Club, which won four back-to-back state championships during his tenure. He has also worked as an assistant coach for the Minnesota High School Rugby Selects team and as a coach consultant for various teams, including Osseo High School Rugby, Menagerie Women’s Rugby Team, Rochester Midnighters Sevens Team, and Rochester Rogues Sevens Team. In addition to coaching, Driessen has worked as a mental skills coach and scrumhalf specialist coach for the University of Minnesota. He was also the former starting scrumhalf for the Minnesota Blizzard during their undefeated season. Driessen has also played as the starting scrumhalf for various other men's clubs in his more than decade long, player athlete career. Driessen’s expertise in mental skills coaching, psychology, and his experience in rugby coaching have helped many coaches, athletes, and teams to enhance mindsets, raise their meta skills proficiency, and achieve remarkable levels of performance. As a violinist, James has had the privilege of touring the United States and Austria, captivating audiences with his solo performances and symphony orchestra contributions. Moreover, he has played a pivotal role in nurturing worship bands, assuming leadership positions and providing guidance and coaching to new members. Through his dedication, James has empowered musicians to grow and thrive, fostering harmonious and engaging worship experiences.
