My goal is to use my acquired proficiency in crime scene processing and analysis of forensic exhibits to help facilitate the effective examination of crime scenes. I have an excelled ability to follow various evidence mediums throughout a forensic investigation; from the collection at a crime scene and subsequent analysis in a laboratory to the writing of scientific reports and presentation of evidence as an expert witness in court. THESIS SUMMARY Title:"Web scraping of ecstasy user reports as a tool for detecting drug usage trends". • Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) involves the use of publicly available information for the purpose of addressing a specific intelligence issue, such as illicit drug markets. • Created a comprehensive database of ecstasy pills by scraping user-reported ecstasy data off a clear-web site. • Intelligence was gathered under two categories: general summary data & geographic movement trends. KEY FINDINGS INCLUDE: o Online ecstasy report data proved to be concordant with other more costly and onerous population-wide approaches like wastewater analyses and population surveys. o Evidence to suggest that MDMA is entering Australian borders through both New South Wales & Victoria. o An east-to-west onshore distribution pathway is suggested to take approximately one-year. o The MDMA market is still very prominent with users consumption habits changing from pill form to capsular form.
