About James McKenzie

A recent graduate of Stirling University with a 2:1 in Marketing and Psychology. I deem myself to be methodical and calm under pressure, possessing the ability to make appropriate and efficient decisions regardless of the context of the situation. Both my studies and previous work experience has allowed me to become confident when working alone and within a team, along with working in client and customer facing positions. I consider myself to be adaptable and a keen learner who looks optimistically towards new challenges and opportunities for personal growth. I am looking to broaden my knowledge of the financial and business sectors, whilst fulfilling my self-set and externally assigned expectations and eventually leaving my mark on the industry. I am proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel and pride myself on being a quick and adaptable learner with computer software packages. I have knowledge of utilising various statistical packages, most notably BrawStats which I used throughout my course in modules pertaining to Psychology. I would consider myself technologically savvy and would be keen to learn how to use different software packages and insight tools, as well as improve on the knowledge I have already gained through my studies.My previous work experience has allowed me to become more confident in a customer facing role, which I feel can be transferable to the world of business when communicating with clients and stakeholders. This work experience also allowed to work with a variety of individuals in differing and similar job roles, which has given me valuable experience in regards to working as a team. I believe that teamwork is of great importance to any sector in a company, therefor I understand the value of having a great working relationship with co-workers in order to maximise workplace cohesion and efficiency.
