About James Sandy Welsch

As the Hospitality Manager at Anchor Brewing Company, I oversee the tour, taproom, and event operations of one of America's oldest and most iconic craft breweries. I manage a team of 15 staff members who provide exceptional service and education to thousands of visitors every year. I also coordinate and execute private and public events, such as tastings, dinners, festivals, and fundraisers, that showcase our brand and products to diverse audiences. I have over ten years of experience in the hospitality industry, as well as a strong writer with a background in publishing and editorial work. I have worked with North Atlantic Books, Cleis Press, and Viva Editions, where I was involved in reviewing, revising, and promoting manuscripts, as well as improving the submission and acquisition processes. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Music from Sarah Lawrence College, and a High School Diploma in Music Composition from Interlochen Arts Academy. I am passionate about local history, writing, and culture, and I enjoy creating memorable and meaningful experiences for guests and customers.
