About Jamie Holmes

I am currently enrolled as a senior in the Department of General Studies with a concentration of Applied Science at Louisiana State University in Shreveport pursuing an undergraduate degree. My main focus throughout my time in college is in Early Childhood Education focusing on the grade levels of Pre-K through 3rd Grade. During my experience in education, I have three years of extensive amount of hours of classroom studying, researching, conducting over 50 hours of observations in classrooms throughout Caddo, Bossier, and Desoto Parish. I have experience with using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Suite, and Google Classroom. I've received my certification as a Google Certified Educator Level One during my time in college and developed a sense of motivation in the classroom by setting high standards and goals through classroom management and assessing student progress by adjusting instructions for students in a diverse and inclusive classroom setting. I believe that the skills and opportunities I have attained from my university and the teachers I have met during my observations have prepared me to become an educator in the lower elementary grade levels in schools. Based on these opportunities, I hope to seek an opportunity in the field of education and broadening my skills with the opportunities I do receive in the near future.
