I am an experienced biochemist with over four years of research and benchwork expertise in the use of microbiology and molecular biology techniques, including protein expression and purification, DNA isolation, plasmid cloning, transformations, phage isolation, mutant phage generation, and analysis using bioinformatics databases. I recently completed my M.Sc. Biochemistry degree at the University of Toronto, under the supervision of Dr. Karen Maxwell. My thesis project focused on the characterization of a novel phage gene to determine its role on the phage-host dynamic through its interference in bacterial defences. My experience working in diverse and multi-disciplinary research teams (academia, industry, student design) has allowed me to develop strong skills in project management, research collaboration, and adaptability.
