About Jamie McClung
From 2019-2021, I served as a TFA Corps Member for a rural parish in Louisiana. Understanding the effects of racial and socioeconomic inequity on the students in my classroom is a necessity for success because of the experiences that students bring to the classroom. Prior to my Corps experience in Louisiana, I attended the University of Notre Dame and received a Masters of Global Affairs. My focus there was on climate change and its effects on rural women in Bangladesh. A focus on rural livelihoods and lives has permeated my work, despite studying a diverse set of issues: climate change, economic development, or education.
