About Jan Cantin

I started my career at UPS while completing my undergraduate degree. Took a semester away to study at Oxford University, Regent's Park College before returning to UPS for a supervisor role. As part of a special assignment, I secured a transfer to St. John's NL from Moncton. This transfer required a tremendous amount of personal and professional adaptation, something I never expected but for which I am extremely grateful. The growth I demonstrated through my first year in St. John's secured a promotion for me, and I have been responsible for all activities at the centre in Mount Pearl since July of 2015 including co-chair of health and safety committee, managing over 50 union and non-union employees, maintaining world-class frequencies for service and safety, coordinating volunteer activities through United Way and other local charities, maintaining training rosters for safety and performance, and a variety of analytical processes to ensure efficient operational effectiveness.
