About Jan van Stam
My research is fundamental and yet of applied relevance. The common thread is the interaction between components in complex systems; polymer-polymer, polymer-colloid, and interaction during concentration gradients. In addition, penetration, electron transfer and fluorescence models have been studied. My starting point has been that cooperative research reinforces findings; to study the same scientific question from several aspects leads to a more comprehensive picture of the studied system.
