About Jane Gibb

I live in the beautiful city of Sydney, Australia, with my husband of 30 plus years. My grown-up kids give me lots of joy as do my growing tribe of grandchildren. I love a leisurely swim, playing with watercolours and sunset strolls. I’m curious and love to learn. Maybe that’s why I decided to be a teacher back in the 80s; I just wanted to stay at school. I spent many years raising kids and serving in Christian ministry. I count myself hugely privileged to have walked alongside many women of faith in different contexts and to have heard their hearts. I trained in conflict coaching and mediation with PeaceWise and love to bring hope and genuine solutions to people in the pain of conflict. Here’s something else about me: I hate to waste anything. I’m a big fan of remaking leftovers into a new meal and making beautiful soil to grow healthy food out of what other people throw away.(Oh yes, did I say how much I love tasting delicious food?) So when my life turned inside out a few years back, I worked hard to get through and find meaning in the mess. It hasn’t been easy, and I don’t believe I will ever get to a place where I stop working on me. But I have gotten to a place where what I am learning can be useful to others. Nothing wasted, as I said. I trained as an ICF coach, did APSATS training and learned to lead trauma-informed groups for women. My heart is to create a safe place for women to reach for the restored sense of self they deserve. As a coach and group facilitator, I love to help people discover wisdom and insights that create life change and healing. I’m in awe of how much growth can happen for anyone who wants it if someone shines a light on the way and with lots of support. The pain of hard times can be worked through and redeemed. I’m living proof.
