About Jane McGee

After accepting the position of Head of Visitor Services and Docent Management for the Kreeger Museum in Northwest DC, Jane McGee hit the ground running. While essentially serving as the administrative "heartbeat" of a small museum, which sees an average of visitors annually, she recognized a lucrative opportunity for the institution to increase it's revenue generation through private facility rentals. In late 2011, Jane successfully lobbied the Director to allow her to take this project on and subsequently added an additional title to her already crowded business card: Private Events Manager. During her time at the museum, from 2011 to 2016, she helped generate an additional through this program. Exceptional organizational, researching, networking and customer service skills have played an integral part in Jane's success in this venture and throughout her career. Being able to manage a docent body of over 100 volunteers and keeping track of all school tours, group tours, public, and private reservations requires a microscopic attention to detail, with the ability to wear many hats. As a small museum with so many activities taking place, the smallest glitch in the scheduling system can cause a disastrous domino effect. Jane is proud to say that, in the five years of her time spent at the Kreeger Museum, this occurrence never took place. In July of 2017, Jane was offered the position of Parish Administrator at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Upperville, Virginia. Her previous experience in administration, event and project management make her a perfect fit for this organization and she looks forward to not only providing support to Trinity's day to day operations but also the church's impressive community outreach programs.
