About Jane McGovern

Since graduating from the National College of Art and Design over 17 years ago my work has been motivated by a desire to explore the power of the unconscious mind, address injustice, speak up for those who do not have a voice and ultimately reduce unnecessary suffering in the world through Art and Education. Over the past 17 years this core need to address injustice and reduce suffering has last lead me to create artworks, exhibitions, music and of late European project designs to this end. I am passionate about the transformative power of Art, and increasing aware of Developmental Trauma and the psychology behind why as a species, we have become complacent to the destruction of our habitat. I consider myself to be primarily an artist and a creative. I possess above average Spatial Intelligence which gives me the ability to imagine, visualize and differentiate objects in two or three dimensions and to understand, manipulate and modify complex data and translate concepts into concrete ideas. I am an experienced Lecturer and Learning Designer who has spent the last 5 years working the fast paced world of European Union Erasmus+ Key Action 2 projects. Most people are familiar with the Erasmus+ Key Action which supports the mobility of staff and students around Europe. Key Action 2 of the Erasmus + programme is a European Union fund designed to support through the creation of strategic partnerships of governments, universities, Adult / VET / Youth educational providers and schools, NGOs and SMEs, to exchange good practices and promote innovation in Europe through education. I now as a result of this position, I can design European Union Erasmus standard theoretical frameworks, curriculums, training materials, digital learning platforms and assessment applications and content, e-learning courses and educational animations. And I have also authored two winning KA2 projects which were awarded collectively of European funding, Up to Speed and MiWindow (project in progress website due end of January 2023). I have represented Innoquality Systems across Europe in partnerships with NGOs, SMEs, universities, with the EU Office of the Turkish Government. I have project managed, researched and contributed content to 8 Erasmus+ KA2 projects to completion. This includes research, visual and technical design, content creation and working with 8 teams of 8 separate European organisations concurrently.
