About Janet Brooks

Work isn't work when you love what you do.” During my career, I’ve worked as a Senior Instructional Designer in a small consulting business for 7 years; in my own consulting business for almost 2 years; and as an individual contributor in a very large corporation for 11 years. These roles have given me a unique combination of strengths and skills to design and develop training and performance support for adult learners. I love to learn and have a knack for simplifying complicated concepts and content for learners. I'm proficient in developing synchronous and asynchronous training for non-technical (e.g, Call Center agents) to highly technical audiences (e.g, RF Engineers). I create effective eLearning, instructor-led (classroom or virtual), and blended training and employ Adult Learning, Fluency-based, and Accelerated Learning principles. I’m great at managing time-sensitive projects with minimal supervision and can take a project from concept to done. ADDIE provides a great overall structure, however creativity keeps development time in check. It’s a fact of business that priorities will change without notice. I adapt quickly to those changes and continue to perform well in a changing environment. I’ve often been told that I’m a great partner and very easy to work with.
