About Janie Dutter

My name is Janie and I am a young professional and artist living in Brooklyn, NY. I have a multi-disciplinary background, having earned a BFA in fashion design from Parsons School of Design and a BA in psychology from Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts as a part of my successful completion of the rigorous BA/BFA program at The New School. I am reliable, adaptable, and organized with a talent for customer service and sales. I am currently transitioning career paths, looking to move away from the fashion industry and pursue my passion for social justice in the education or non-profit spheres. I am interested in working in areas of youth advocacy, education, LGBTQIA+ advocacy, reproductive justice, and body liberation. My approach to social justice is intersectional and trauma-informed, I aim to have my work in any of these areas center the most marginalized people affected. My goal is to use my talents as a professional and artist to positively contribute to causes I am passionate about.
