About Jarrett Joyce

Hi, where to begin? I've lived several different lives it seems. I've always been stuck between being a laborer and being a manager or entrepreneur. Life threw a curve ball with an invitation to be on a reality show about shipping/transportation which led to what I thought would be a lifetime career. I owned and managed a small fleet of vans handling the distribution for a mid-sized office products company. I managed the warehouse, employees, van maintenance and all accounting related to my operation. I enjoyed it and was good at it. The company I contracted to was bought out at the end of 2019. This led to a decision to change direction and find a new career at an inopportune time as COVID was right around the corner. My wife and I decided to move to Wilmington, NC and reinvent ourselves which we did in the brewery industry. I found working in a brewery, while a step back to learn, was very enjoyable. I learned from the ground up how a brewery operates from washing kegs, moving inventory, sales and delivery, to eventually finding myself brewing and learning the ins and outs of that. In between I bartended and also spent time with the sales manager learning the distribution side. We decided to move back to the Triad area for family and now I have taken a position as the Sales Development/Representative for this area. In under a month I have made contacts with over 200 accounts and placed product in more than 30 accounts, on and off premise. This number is likely to significantly increase as this is the slow season and I have created good relationships. I am already averaging per week in sales. My work history has taken some turns but I have also learned many valuable skills along the way. I have working knowledge of most parts of construction, plumbing, electrical, vehicle mechanics, route planning, brewery operations and also sales. I believe I can be successful at any position. I have a solid work ethic and a desire to work hard to figure out the best solution in any situation.
