About Jason Sudy

I work at the intersection of mobility, community, and implementation by helping cities, agencies, and organizations navigate complex transportation challenges and deliver solutions that are both technically sound and publicly supported. Over the past 25+ years, I have led multidisciplinary efforts spanning transportation planning, land use, emerging mobility, and community engagement. My work focuses on aligning infrastructure and innovation with the needs, priorities, and concerns of the communities they serve, particularly in environments where projects are complex, high-profile, or evolving. A central thread of my experience is serving as a bridge between technical systems and real-world community experience. I have facilitated hundreds of public meetings and stakeholder discussions, often in situations involving competing priorities, uncertainty, or contested change, helping communities navigate friction points such as development impacts, traffic concerns, and neighborhood change, and translating complex transportation concepts into clear, relatable communication. Throughout my career I have supported and led business development efforts across multiple firms, building client relationships and collaborative teams that translate into successful pursuits and sustained practice growth across markets and geographies. In parallel, I have contributed to national work on emerging mobility, including autonomous vehicle strategy and technology-enabled transportation systems. I previously served as National Lead for Transportation Technology Planning at HDR, where I worked with public agencies across the country to prepare for the impacts of new mobility technologies and integrate them into planning and policy frameworks. I also bring experience as a trusted advisor to public- and private-sector clients, supporting strategic initiatives, guiding multidisciplinary teams, and helping organizations move from vision to implementation. My work has included leading major corridor studies, BRT and transit-oriented development strategies, multimodal plans, and community-focused infrastructure initiatives across multiple regions. My focus continues to be on work that meaningfully connects infrastructure and innovation to the communities they serve, whether through community-centered technology deployment, strategic transportation initiatives, or bridging the gap between complex systems and public understanding.
