Over 20 years of professional experience including international assignments in London (UK), Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia), Tokyo (Japan) and Metro Manila (Philippines). Volunteer program development and management – extensive knowledge and proven experience in the areas of recruitment, training, support and recognition including design and development of volunteer and citizenship programs; resource person in local and international conferences on volunteering and active citizenship; advocate/campaigner for Philippines Volunteer Act of 2007 (the first in Southeast Asia); and trainer-facilitator for Philippines Department of the Interior and Local Government’s Volunteer and Citizenship Program; Project management and implementation – has a full grasp of project management cycle, monitoring and evaluation, community organizing, logical framework and social mobilization with solid experience in stakeholder engagement and partnerships with local governments, national government agencies, community-based/grassroots organizations and private sector; Training and facilitation – wide experience in the design and development of training workshops, program planning processes, strategic planning and volunteer management systems; Advocacy and campaigning – good grasp of policy advocacy, lobbying and campaigning with demonstrated experience in the Millennium Development Goals, Sustainable Development Goals (post-MDGs), women’s participation, rural development and cooperation, peace-building, social inclusion, gender, disaster risk reduction and management, and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disability (UNCRPD); Driven by core values – flexible and can maintain the right sense of humor under pressure; determined and competent with demonstrated ability to transcend cultural differences.
