About Jeff Yang

When I first started studying for entry-level actuarial exams over 10 years ago, I was happy to find many reputable and time-tested study guides to get me through the preliminary exams. However, with the rare exception, most platforms applied a very traditional approach to teaching, which often included a manual (sometimes with accompanying video) and a list of questions to churn through. Traditional materials are safe and adequate, but I always wondered if there were technological innovations that could have helped make the learning process more efficient. Technology has advanced tremendously in the 21st century, yet students are effectively faced with the same choices for study materials as they were 10 years ago. That is why I created The Actuarial Nexus, an actuarial exam prep platform that utilizes modern tools and techniques to provide candidates with a high quality experience. The platform applies an interactive approach to learning by incorporating state-of-the-art technology, advanced statistics, and AI tools into the learning process. Due to the more automated nature of the platform, we are able to provide our services at a relatively affordable price compared to the industry standard, without sacrificing quality. Utilizing rapidly evolving advancements in AI and education, I believe that there are incredible opportunities to advance the future of actuarial exam prep, and I am excited to explore what AI has to offer.
