About Jennifer Elliott

After college Graduation I worked for Child Find in Douglas County Colorado, Development Pathways. I was instrumental in developing the LEAP program. In this role as a therapist I spent time doing parent training and working directly with children on the Autism Spectrum. Once we started a family I made the decision to be at home to raise our children. I was mainly a homemaker from 2003-2022. It has been wonderful having the time to raise my three kids as a stay at home mom. I have taken on a few side projects. Started a company called Busy Baby Decor where I hand painted murals on furniture for children based on sensory integration. I also painted wall murals for some time. I have volunteered working in numerous roles in the schools over the past 20 years. I would say education of any sort is my passion. Update- I have been employed at Joy Mission Preschool for two years now as a lead teacher in the 2-3yr old classroom. They will be changing things around next year and my classroom will no longer be there sadly. This leaves me unsure of my roll at JMP next year at the time. My heart has been pulling me to work with children with needs again. I loved being an in home therapist. Being able to help change little ones development in those early years is amazing to me. Working with parents to help them ajust to whatever needs their child has is so important and I feel I bring the empathy and knowledge needed for that. So I am now open minded to doing different things as long as it is working with kids, preferably under the age of 3. Early childhood development is so very important.
