About Jennifer Essick

I am a seasoned transportation manager, leader and trainer, I developed KPI's and goals to develop teamwork within my department. I began my career in transportation working with the van and refrigerated divisions of DFA working on a retail cheese account as a load coordinator. I was responsible for developing carrier relationships as well as internal business relationships, contracting rates, providing customer service and training new coordinators. From the retail cheese account I transitioned to Export Coordinator for DFA. In this position I centralized all the international transportation and customs documentation for the organization. In this position I worked with various government entities on completing export documentation and with customs as required. I also worked directly with our international customers on any specific requirements as needed. I transferred to the Fluid Transportation Admin Manager position within DFA in January of 2014. I oversaw all fluid payments, month end reporting and daily operations until March of 2017. In March of 2017 I was offered the position of Fluid Transportation Manager. I over see daily operations within my department, develop the yearly budget, acquire new 3rd Party business, develop KPI's, work with customers and carriers all to drive profit for our organization. Prior to my positions within DFA I worked for FedEx Trade Networks on the customs clearing team. There I was responsible for clearing packages through customs for FedEx.
