About Jennifer Stanton

My professional career has been purposefully directed toward improving student performance for all of my students by providing collaborative teacher learning and student centered practices inside the classroom. I focus on instructionally effective practices and consistently provide opportunities for students in a variety of learning modalities, including: collaborative learning groups, differentiated instructional, Socratic Seminar discussions, while maintaining culturally responsive mindset. As a lead and senior teacher in English education, I have also shared professional development initiatives with staff members at Pelham Academy and leading the review of data to track student growth in preparation planning methods of intervention, while also providing advanced learning and challenging opportunities to advanced learners. I have worked diligently with the Common Core Standards and push for students to achieve high level discussion and expression through communications of all modalities. My core strengths lie in working collaboratively with people of all ages, socio-economic status, and ethnic backgrounds, implementing differentiated instruction, creative and careful analysis of curriculum and materials as well as planning and developing Professional Learning Communities to engage teachers in learning collaboratively through inquiry processes and reflection on student learning. I have promoted student achievement by using data analysis with data driving instruction, integrating technology into the classroom, and use an instructional model that challenges students to reach their fullest potential and challenge their limits. My strengths in knowledge of pedagogy and curriculum planning, coupled with my passion for helping individuals, be the best version of themselves, make me an ideal educator and teacher of gifted and passionate students, as well as a responsive educator to students who may struggle to realize their potential.
