About Jennifer Stappers

After obtaining a Master's degree of science in Occupational Therapy, I am combining two passions: physical rehabilitation and scientific research. Physical rehabilitation is near to my heart, especially neurological rehabilitation. I feel energized by working in current Parkinsons research at the University of Ghent. I feel joy in practicing creative thinking and innovation in supporting the start-up of ambulatory neurological rehabilitation, Revales. My theses were about understanding and communicating the needs of people with a disability. Specifically was my master's thesis about a self-management app for people with a Spinal Cord Injury and my bachelor's thesis about digital aids counseling for visually impaired people. I enjoy an active lifestyle with running, swimming, and getting accustomed to my new hometown.
