About Jennifer Zalewski

I came from a family of hard workers. I always wanted to work and have my own money. I started working when I was 13. My first "real" job was working as a dish washer in Mackinaw City. I soon moved up to salad girl. I worked there for 2 years every summer until I was 15. Then I started at Glen's grocery and worked there for the next 10 years. That job would shape my life and develop me into the person that I am today. I worked with many great employees and had great role models in management. I would even work this job when I was in college. I would come home early Friday morning after class. I would work from Friday night until Sunday morning and then go back to school late that night. After college I would change what I went to college for. In the spring of 2022, I would take an apprenticeship at The Sun Shop Tanning Center and Nails to learn to be a Nail Technician. My mom was a Nail Technician, so I followed in her footsteps. I did that for several years. I loved learning the craft and working with my clients. Most days I was still working at Glens and The Sun Shop, doing nails. 630a to 10p. From one to the next. I loved being able to buy my own stuff and get what I wanted when I l wanted to. After 2008 I stopped doing nails and started in retail. I came back to working at Bath and Body Works. I first worked there when I was 20, in as a Co Manager. Pretty proud to be in Management at such a young age. Again, another great place to work with guests and help them find what they needed. I loved learning all the products. I worked at BBW for a short time until I started at Aerie By American Eagle. Following the District Manger from Aerie back to Bath and Body Works. People work for people. Not companies. I was at Bath and Body Works for 12 years. I am very dedicated to an employer when I am with them. 10 Years at Glens, 13-14 collectively at BBW. Now ready for the new adventure with Ulta Beauty.
