About Jerome Beijers

Currently working on several projects as a trainee in local government. Projects include: 1. The reopening of currently dormant airforce base De Peel by the Dutch Ministery of Defense, where I am part of the program group responsible for tracking the proces the Ministery needs to follow to obtain permission for the reactivation. Also includes communication to the inhabitants of the municipality of Venray and maintaining cooperation with neighbouring municipalities. Promoting cooperation and connecting innovations in food production from North-Limburg region in Europe. Currently I am looking into ways to create a connection between region North-Limburg and Romania in the area of protein transition. This could be about circular livestock farming, insects or protein crops. Researching possibilities to increase the forest area and number of trees in Venray. Involved with creating a guide on how to approach spatial planning in Venray municipality. Additionally, I am part of the policyteam of the political party Volt that shapes the vision on administrative organization of the Netherlands.
