About Jesse Freese

12/4/17 Jesse Freese SPL Jesse Freese is the President of SPL. He joined the company in 1989 with three partners and has been President and CEO since 1997. SPL helps organizations develop their leadership and project management capability through the use of simulation powered learning. SPL developed and has been perfecting this simulation technology and its use in various learning environments for the last 20 years. Besides leading SPL, Jesse develops and delivers simulation powered learning workshops in project management, leadership and change management. He has successfully guided over students through a variety of project management and leadership related workshops. Jesse was recently an Adjunct Professor at the University of Minnesota in the Master of Science in Software Engineering Degree Program. He co-designed and co-developed the course material for the Software Project Management course. Prior to joining SPL, Jesse spent 17 years in software development and management for a major computer and software development company. Jesse began developing and using leadership and project management skills early in his career, successfully managing three large software systems development projects over a ten year period. Jesse became an expert in software estimation and in the use of models in estimating software cost, schedule, and quality as the responsible manager for all large software development proposals in his last three years with the company.
