About Jesse Smith

I am an Autistic and transgender Registered Social Worker with 4 years of experience in supporting youth, adults, and seniors with disabilities and neurodivergence as well as within the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, using varied support approaches and a neurodiversity-affirming framework. I have significant experience developing and facilitating recreational, and informational workshops, programs, and activities for a wide range of service users and professionals. I have also been working as a Peer Support Counsellor to teen and adult clients diagnosed with ADHD, Autism, and Anxiety Disorders within a remote clinical setting, discussing social and emotional challenges, life skills development, and goal setting. I wish to continue to support and collaborate with 2SLGTBQIA+ neurodivergent folks to establish and meet personal goals, improve quality of life, and build a secure community support system through interdependence. On the side, I am a Visual Artist, Illustrator and storyteller. I hope to have the opportunity to utilize more arts-based approaches to community building and therapy.
