I would like apply for work in Customer Service. I have recently retired from the Internal Revenue Service where I was employed for the last ten years as a customer service representative. I answered incoming calls and accessed individual tax records from the government database in order to assist the customer in being compliant with government regulations. I explained various payment options when the caller had a debt and gave information regarding refunds when they were due. I had to pass an extensive background check and I have both written and verbal communication ability. I am familiar with various computer operating systems such as Word, Excel, and Outlook and have good computer skills. I have a BS degree in telecommunications and business and I am a team player who understands the necessity of being flexible in a fast paced environment.
